A woman posted on the AITA subreddit, wanting to know whether she was in the wrong for refusing to financially help her estranged twin.
Your “Sinful” Way to Make Money is Not My Cup of Tea
So, the original poster (OP), who is 30 years old, has a twin. The two have been estranged because OP’s sister, whom I call Natalie for this post, disapproves of OP being a cam girl.
OP says she has never done anything inappropriate, and nobody would know she is a cam girl unless she tells them.
Natalie, who is a single mum, insists that OP’s job would be a bad influence on her kids who are 12, 9 and 5 years old.
OP says it hurts her that Natalie has denied her a relationship with her nephews and niece.
The youngest of Natalie’s kids has cancer. The father of this child pays child support, but it is not much because he doesn’t make much. Catering for her last born has made the bills shoot through the roof, and now her landlord is threatening to throw her out because she is way behind on rent and other bills.
Anyways, Can I Have Some of That Sinful Money?
OP and Natalie have not spoken for years, but Natalie contacted her to borrow some money.
OP told her, “You realize this money would come from my camming job, right? The one you estranged me over and wouldn’t let me have a relationship with your kids?”
Natalie said it was an emergency, that she was in a desperate situation, and how much her lastborn was OP’s nephew.
“You disowned me as your sister; since I am not your sister, he can’t be my nephew. Either way, I wouldn’t want you having money from a sinful source, as you put it,” OP reminded her sister.

Redditors Weigh In
This post divided Reddit users. Some of them loved OP’s pettiness and way of doing things, but many did not just like it.
One commenter said, “I love OP’s kind of pettiness. Just makes my day.”
Another said, “it is petty, and then there is vindictiveness. This is the latter, and it is not a good look. What a b*tch?
Would you have paid Natalie’s rent and your nephew’s hospital bill if you were OP?
